Signs It’s Time for an Indoor Lighting Electrical Repair
- Flickering lights - If you notice your lights dim each time you turn on the vacuum or another appliance, you might need some electrical repairs. Dimming and flickering lights due to drawing more power from the grid is a common problem for older homes. If it’s time to update your electrical system, let us know!
- Broken light switches and outlets - It’s frustrating when you plug a device into an outlet, and nothing happens! Wiring can shake loose from outlets and switches over time or fuses can blow. If you have a dead outlet or switch, schedule an appointment with us! We’ll come over and fix it so you can draw from it in no time.
- Check your home's circuit board - Blowing a fuse is common but never fun. By replacing the fuse in your circuit board, you can re-establish the electric circuit in your home. Fuses come in different sizes, so be sure to use the fuse your home requires. If you have any questions or need help, we’re just a phone call away!
- Frequent sparking (blue and yellow sparks) - Overheated wiring and circuits can begin to spark more than usual. A little bit of sparking can be normal, but if the sparking is excessive and has a burning smell, it's a fire hazard. Call Mountain Valley Electric as soon as you notice this. We’ll be over to fix it up as soon as possible.
